Auditioning for a Role:
You can audition for a canon role by sending a joint PM to Aztec and LeVee . The title of this PM should be the role your character is hoping to get. When you are auditioning, upon being sent that first PM, the admin team will come up with a scenario for you to write a 400-word minimum post response too, IC as that character, as if they had the position.
For any elected positions, there will be a call for nominees (anyone can nominate anyone; even their own characters) and then those nominees will post in a specific page (that will be set up during "elections") with what they stand for--and a poll will be at the top. ALL character accounts vote on the polls, and whoever gets the most votes is that elected role for four OOC months, before they must "run" again.
Imbrum is like any other town, despite it's high crime and darkness in every cranny.
The mayor is an elected official, who is in the Faye families' pocket. They oversee budget, committees, the police, fire, and other emergency services. They're supposed to do what's best for the city -- but this one does what's best for their pockets. They line their pockets by ensuring that any policies that would restrict the Faye families' business never see the light of day.
Chief of Police
The chief of police is the head person, the one who decides what police officer, detective, etc. goes where--does what--responds to what. This person's as twisted as they come, and is in the Drexel families' pocket, which means they're constantly trying to bust the Faye Family. He's corrupt, and allows Drexel business into the city, and looks the other way.
The fire chief is the chief of the fire department. They're not corrupt, and are currently owned by neither family--though they could be a Conchen supporter, and therefore a Shadow Walker. They simply try to do their job, and stay out of trouble with the families. Which is hard to do when you're not being protected by a family.
The Shadow Walkers Society started out as a small band of five people. Lead by Rayen the little band that escaped the coliseum discovered Drenzdel, hidden far beneath the city of Imbrum. Finding a place where they could escape the tyranny of the Imbrum. They began freeing imprisoned Conchen and bringing them to the forgotten lab. Out of the five came many more. With Rayen's power over shadow, no one to catch them. Earning the group their name, Shadow Walkers. As a society they are pretty young and are still developing their structure.
Rayen D'vero acts as the governing head, with the other four serving as her generals and advisors and overseers of different aspects of Drenzdel. Each head oversees a unique side of Drenzdel, working under Rayen who is commander and chief. They offer her advice and input as her most trusted friends and advisors, though they do not always see eye to eye. Some seek to take a more radical approach in this silent war, while others seek to find a more peaceful solution. Though the ultimate decision is left up to Rayen.
The Head of Commerce/The Black Market
They oversee the underground of Drenzdel. The black market is their domain, they are the ruler over the seedier and less desirable types of the residents of Denzdel. They see the darkest side of their world and offer information and insight for their leader. They also are capable of getting their hands on anything and everything, supplying Drenzdel with much needed supplies and weapons. (Think crime boss).
The Head of Defense
This head oversees the soldiers, the Shadow Walker members who are adept at fighting. They are the police and military force of the city beneath the earth. The most loyal and trusted friend of Rayen they help keep order within Denzdel and the Society. The commanding general of the entire military they are the voice of the city's soldiers.
The Head of Intel
These are those skilled in the art of espionage and deception. As such their leader is a master of their craft. They know everything about everyone and their job is to oversee those who infiltrate the city above. They themselves have ties to those in the city of Imbrum, positioning themselves into a high role, while hiding their true support for the Society. It is their information that advises Rayen on when to attack, and when to lay and wait. It is because of them Drenzdel remains hidden even today.
The Head of the People
The head is in charge of the growth and prosperity of Denzdel. Their job is to ensure a healthy and safe lifestyle for their people. Through the buildings down to distribution of food. They are the voice of the people and have their best interest at heart.
All are unified under one goal, to free their kind from bondage. Though their view on how to get there is varied. They remain united and loyal under the command of Rayen.
