Sexual Orientation: Heteroflexible
Empathy - 15
Name: Cosmina S. Mooney
Aliases: Cat, Gypsy, Cos
Moniker: "Cosmic Cat". This moniker was earned because of the rather large cosmos tattoo that spans her back, in the shape of a cat. It's also the tagline for vandalized sites, that bear her craftsmanship.
Coliseum Moniker: The Gypsy Star
Sexual Orientation: Heteroflexible
Empathy - 15
Due to an extremely early occurrence of manifestation, at just five years of age, Cosmina's empathy is extremely corrupted. It no longer allows her to "shut it off" (meaning she constantly feels the emotions of those around her). Certain emotions affect her in different manners; almost like triggers, and different sides of her can appear to the person that triggered that side. Please note that these emotions must be experienced in an extreme enough manner; also note that these "phases" are very noticeable. Do note that none of these 'phases' are permanent, unless she's exposed to that feeling/trigger for too long, and then it can take longer to dissipate. Due to her corruption, her normal emotions tend to be on the more 'extreme' side of things. She turns to pain to distract her from emotions when she feels overwhelmed (this applies to her own relationships, as well). Cosmina likes control, and since she cannot control who or what she feels at any given time, she tends to control her weight via an erratic on-again-off-again eating disorder.
|With the feeling of extreme fear or sadness on anothers part, Cosmina manifests the personality of a small child, who is either in tears or extremely frightened. These emotions during this triggered phase are extreme enough to immobilize her entirely. Often she will resort to cowering, or bargaining. This phase often forces flashbacks of her childhood.||When it comes to feelings of extreme anger, hate, etc. Cosmina manifests the personality of a very loud, opinionated woman. She often experiences great huntlust, bloodlust--something she describes as "only seeing red". This phase triggers the need to eat flesh--typically human or Conchen, and typically raw. After coming out of this phase, she often will not remember what she has done.||Extreme obsession, love, adoration, etc. will create a Cosmina with one intent: to win the heart of whomever caused her to feel such intense feelings. She will strive to win that heart (whether that means she has torn it from the chest of her 'lover', and crushed it in her hands--or truly won affection) until she's succeeded. If one reacts too badly to this side of Cosmina, they'll most likely end up entrapped in a never-ending loop of cat-and-mouse.||Cosmina, when around a great amount of death--whether she's the cause or not--will become cold; distant. She will take on the persona that she is the God of Death; or a Grim Reaper sent to claim souls. Often in this phase she will be having flashbacks of various deaths that she saw happen, and caused.|
Allegiance: Shadow Walkers
Cosmina is covered in discreet tattoos, with no meaning. She has them put in the most strange places, and they're small enough to be missed unless you know where to look. She takes great pride in having that bit of rebellion; individuality. She has blonde, curly hair that is cut above her shoulders, though when wet or straightened it goes just below her shoulders. She often dresses in punk-style clothing, preferring an almost off-the-street look over anything elegant, at least for everyday life. This girl stands at exactly four foot eight (4'8"), and don't let her height fool you--she's quick-footed. She often carries a small belt of various knives around her hip, often hidden by the over-sized hoodies she prefers to sport. There's not a single scar upon the little woman, and if there is, it's most likely hidden by various types of tattoos. She often has eye-makeup, giving her the appearance of having the face of a cat--this is done intentionally, while still being hardly noticeable (the makeup, rather).

"The Gypsies", that's what her mother and father were known by. A pair of siblings, who only fought together. They fought in pairs, to the death. It was almost as if the life force of the other kept them going--kept the other alive. Mortally wounded, her mother, Oracle, could keep going as long as her partner did. The same applied to her father, Styx. There was only one time in their history, where they lost.
Oracle was heavily pregnant, by who... well, people only had their suspicions, and nobody would dare confirm them. The woman went into labor mid-fight, and Styx threw the fight--forfeited, and was heavily punished later for doing so. To make up for the lack of a fight, Oracle was forced to birth her daughter in the center of the Coliseum, where all of those rich, paying eyes could watch. Honestly, the handlers had been hoping either mother or daughter died. No such luck; this would later result in a worse beating for Styx.
In Cosmina's history of life, there was one time she vividly remembers. Five years old, and she's sobbing--broken-heated after coming into contact with a freed-gladiator who had just lost her lover in battle. The woman's grief vividly affected Cosmina, and she was tested and then promptly fitted. She was to be a star--a little Gypsy Star. Her first appearance to the public, she was dressed in a flowy little dress with red flowers. And her opponent was named Kath.
Kath was an old woman, about sixty years of age. She was fragile--she was sick--and the people were not paying to see a fight, per se. They were paying to see just how out-of-control one of the youngest known Conchen could become. How much of a freak was Cosmina Starlet Mooney? And what would it take to shatter her reality, to create something broken and dark, twisted?
Turns out, it didn't take long. Kath was hallucinating something horrid, and came after the little girl. The onlookers were amused; baffled--they were getting to see a game of cat-and-mouse, even if they didn't realize that, yet. The child was overwhelmed by Kath's fear, and she began to run--to flee. This only angered the hallucinating woman, to such a point that Cosmina was once again affected.
What happened next was a story that would be told throughout the arena--of the little Conchen-eating cannibal. Cosmina was overcome with bloodlust, anger, hatred--and the unfathomable need to devour the threat. So, the little child let the older woman get as close as she could; and then she struck. She'd grabbed a rock at some point, and that rock slammed into the older female's knees, and once she was within reach the child simply began to tear at her throat.
Kath did not survive.
And the memories would haunt Cosmina to the end of her time in the arena. She was placed in that position various times, often with more dangerous opponents--opponents who actually wanted to kill. And once, she was dropped into the arena amidst a death match, just to see what would happen. The results terrified and pleased her handlers. After all, she brought in great money.
When she was eight years old, she was dropped into a death match that her father was fighting. Styx was losing--he'd never been the same after he lost Oracle, and seemed to only live for his little girl. Plopped down between the two fighters, the eight year old cowered as her father's opponent lunged for her. Everything was red--everything hurt. Worst of all?
She needed to kill--needed to consume whoever was closest. She was quick to scramble out of the way, of course, but then there came the moment where Styx murdered his opponent at her feet. Her father had brought her what she needed, and despite knowing better in some morally right part of herself, Cosmina devoured this man too. That night was the night her father saw her for what she was; a corrupted little being--broken, never to be normal. He vowed then and there that he would get them out.
Now, Styx Mooney had been practicing being quiet--earning trust--being a model prisoner. When his little girl was eight years old, he had reached the peak of his earned trust, and was allowed some freedoms. He immediately turned that trust into betrayal, as he managed to steal a master remote. His cuff--Cosmina's cuff--both shut down, and then, in came an affiliation of Styx's. A Shadow Walker named Devon.
Devon was a hacker; an engineer. He remembered their past, knew why he should help. And, part of him wanted to give the little Gypsy Star, who had made so many news headlines, a chance to be normal--as normal as she possibly could. So, he took down the system with a simple code. Just long enough to break the two of them out. The master remote, of course, helped; he didn't have to worry about disabling their cuffs before breaking them out.
Once out, Devon took Cosmina and her father to their safe-haven; the underground city. He even went so-far as to remove their cuffs entirely from their arms. But true to their names, the Gypsies did not enjoy being locked up tight--they wanted to live topside. So they went. Nine years old, Cosmina lived with her father wherever he found that was safe. Warehouses, under bridges, in sewer systems. She learned to steal, to pick-pocket, and she learned--
Gloves helped with her power. Just a bit. She had the hardest time "ignoring emotions" when she was physically touching someone.
Styx Mooney died of disease when Cosmina was sixteen. Since that moment, she wandered alone--though she could not bring herself to move out of the old warehouse that her father lived in. She never gave her full name--she only introduced herself as 'Cos', and to some: 'Gypsy', but even to others she was known as the Cosmic Cat due to her artwork on the abandoned buildings being tagged as such.
Now, at nineteen she works in Corinna "Crystal" Burton 's storefront, and constantly fights the urge to move--to run. She spent a good deal of her life running from who she was; and she's not stopped yet.
